A Prototype Light-Up Program Suit made for Joseph Kosinski’s 2010 cyber-adventure sequel, Tron: Legacy. In the film, Kevin Flynn’s (Jeff Bridges) son, Sam (Garrett Hedlund), ventures into the digital world where he encounters his missing father and a host of deadly challenges. This prototype suit was made for various “Program” characters seen in the film. This Program suit is comprised of a black foam upper body application adhered to a black spandex jumpsuit. The suit exhibits an early working design with a number of elements originally designed to light-up. Both the arms and the shoulders have been outfitted with a clear lighting wire, while the back exhibits an open gap where a identity disc would be applied. Due to production use and storage, this prototype has sustained some wear including scuffs, stains, and wrinkles in the foam latex. There are also components which are no longer firmly attached, as they were applied with adhesive (see photos). This piece remains in otherwise good production made condition. *Please note that the EL sheet no longer illuminates and the electronics do not currently function.
